The comedy “From La Mondiola neighborhood”, Jorge Lorenzo's play directed by Mecha Fernández will premiere on 17 May at the Cultural Center 25 of May, with performances every Tuesday from 20.

This show features performances by Silvia Geijo, Carlos Ledrag, Jesica Livorsi and Jorge Lorenzo himself. They are joined by live musicians Esteban Morgado and Nicolás Perrone.

"From La Mondiola neighborhood" is located in the heart of Buenos Aires, at the end of the decade 40. There the play will tell the story of Leopoldo Pena, a humble municipal employee, very shy and accustomed to teasing and mistreatment from his boss and a colleague.

Leopoldo is a dreamer who longs to be a great tango singer and conquer Rosaura., a neighborhood girl, with whom he is in love and who likes him but because of his shyness he never dared to expose his feelings.

All this history spun with fragments of popular tangos like "Garufa", "Downhill", "Nothing" and many others.

Tickets can be obtained at the ticket offices of the venue located on Triumvirato 4444 from the neighborhood of Villa Urquiza or by Alternativa Teatral.
