“Queen of Hearts” The anthological exhibition of the artist Delia Cancela is entitled, which opened its doors at the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires, a tour of his main works in which he approached art, fashion and design with the same intensity, since the years 60 in which he was part of the avant-garde of the Di Tella Institute, to the present.

Paints, fashion figurines, Illustrations, drawings, pattern designs for fabric, costume designs for major plays, Pictures, prints on canvas and artistic works that he made in New York, London and Paris for magazines like Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar, are displayed in the room to give an account of the path of an unconventional artist who knew how to use images to convey ideas and emotions, regardless of the support.

Curated by Carla Barbero, The exhibition covers the different periods of Cancela's career (Buenos Aires, 1940), like his first collages, paintings that evoke the feminine universe and love and also the time in which she worked - from the mid- 60- together Pablo Mesejeán, by then your partner, with whom he formed an artistic duo.

You can visit the sample in the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires, Avenida San Juan 350 (CABA), Tuesday through Friday 11 a 19 and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 a 20.. General admission: $30. Tuesday free.
