Argentine cinema was highlighted at the San Sebastian Festival

Three Argentine productions received awards in the last hours within the framework of the edition 69 of the San Sebastián Film Festival that will end this Saturday.

The films in question have been "Trucker" by Francisco Marise and "Germany", by María Zanetti; both were within the Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum. While, "The grotto of the wind", by Eduardo Crespo, was honored with the Ikusmira Berriak award.

At the 69th edition of the Spanish festival, There are eight Argentine productions that have their presence representing the best of Argentine cinema in San Sebastian lands: "Camila will be out tonight", by Inés Barrionuevo in the Official Competition, “Carajita” by Silvina Schnicer and Ulises Porra and “Ese weekend” by Mara Pescio in New Directors; "Jesús López" by Maximiliano Schonfeld, "The employee and the boss" by Manuel Nieto Zas, “Azor” by Andreas Fontana and “Piedra noche” by Iván Fund in Horizontes Latinos; and "Official Competition" by Gastón Duprat and Mariano Cohn in Perlak, the movie starring Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas and Oscar Martínez, who inaugurated his section at the festival.

In the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera parallel section, “Vortex” by Gaspar Noé and “Ob Scena” by Paloma Orlandini Castro are presented, forma part of Nest, where film students from around the world compete with their shorts.
