Through a statement, Disney referred to the large number of accounts and advertising offers its Plus service, its recent streaming platform has not yet reached Latin America.

The statement, the entertainment company explained that they have "detected an increase in phishing attempts in which, people calling illegitimately act on behalf of Disney +, They are trying to obtain personal data, including financial information, offering access to a free trial of the service streaming ".

In this situation, Disney asked users that these emails are not answered. Likewise, it failed to detect "creating false accounts on social networks that promote these same actions or that are used to promote services that are not provided by Disney +".

Therefore, Disney reiterated that such communications are false and do not form part of any initiative promoted by Disney +.

In that context, the launch of Disney + in Latin America continues to be scheduled for late 2020.
