The General Archive of the Nation renewed its online consultation

More of 12 One thousand pieces from the General Archive of the Nation can be consulted virtually by the public, within the framework of the actions for the Bicentennial celebrated this year by the entity.

It is one of the most important archives in the country and it gathers documentary material related to cinema, audio and video.

Dated in August, the entity's Bicentennial has been celebrated with different activities and proposals, such as the complete renovation of the digital platform of the General Archive of the Nation, dependent on the Ministry of the Interior.

Among the pieces open to consultation are historical productions of the country, as Argentine News, the Leonardo Favio Collection or Radio Noticias Argentinas.

As reported by the TELAM Agency, the new system allows you to combine fields in order to expand or refine the results, as, for example, can be browsed by Background / Collection, Qualification, producer, gender, chronological index, geographical, onomastic, thematic, date, identification code and file summary.

On the other hand, and to continue celebrating the Bicentennial, AGN will also produce with Canal Encuentro a series of 200 television microprograms that will premiere on 20 June, Flag Day, and it will air throughout 2021 on that public sign.

At the same time, from the 31 May the AGN and the National University of Tres de Febrero (Untref), that this year they launched a Diploma in Archival and Document Management, will carry out a series of online discussions open to the community that can be followed on the YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/canaluntref).

The first will feature the participation of Alba Laura Lombardi (AGN), Guadalupe Gaona (culture Ministry), Guillermo Clarke (PBA Memory Archive) and Martín Paz (Archive IIAc Untref), with the moderation of the coordinator of the Diploma and the Archive of the Institute of Research in Art and Culture Dr.. Norberto Griffa (iIAc), Paula Hrycyk.
