The artist Claudio Pedraza will exhibit his "New World" in Mar Dulce
Between 8 July and 19 August the Galería Mar Dulce will carry out the second individual exhibition of the artist Claudio Pedraza, under the name "New World".
The sample is comprised of a series of 25 paintings, drawings and new objects that can be seen from Tuesday to Saturday from 16 a 19 in the traditional porteño enclosure located on Uriarte 1490.
In this way, Pedraza will return to Mar Dulce with his own sample after 9 years. in these creations, the artist maintains the jovial spirit that is a constant in his images, but to these are added the breadth of experimentation in color, composition and geometric figures.
As detailed from the statement of the Gallery, Pedraza's work –until now– “contained airplanes, casas, plants, curious collective, cactus, elephants, boxers, knives, hammers plus another good number of symbolic elements that in their relationship made each new piece. Those symbols were intricate in size, in positions that defied gravity and in brief actions that showed a landscape in the world of Claudio”.
In addition, it is detailed that, although "that world was not lost", now “vehicles become little by little more geometric, wheels carrying cog shed roofs, buildings with round windows, X-shaped bumper, semicircle windshield, more triangular trees with parallel branches and round fruits. It is as if such shots lead us as a preview of the three-dimensional collages that share this exhibition. They are medium paintings where the anecdotal symbols are absent, but the color relationship persists, the optimism of the forms, joy".
