The outstanding artist Martín Bonadeo will present an urban intervention through the LED screens of Buenos Aires Avenue 9 of July.

This was confirmed by the Ministry of Culture of the City and the Ministry of Public Space of the City, through a project supported by the National Museum of Fine Arts that proposes to interfere with the broadcast of content from the screens of the emblematic avenue.

The screening will take place at midnight on 21 June and will be extended until 25, in the same time. The work in question is "Essays to live in peace", realization that has the purpose of bringing art outside of conventional places and even more so in the context of restrictions due to the pandemic.

As explained in a statement from the Buenos Aires Culture area, the sequence will begin showing on several of the screens of the emblematic avenue 9 July the image of a burning candle (each day has a total of 5 minute).

With the passing of the nights, will be seen on the same screens, how this giant candle will burn reducing its height until it reaches its minimum expression. Will then, when a hand will be seen entering the picture that will light a new full-size candle by placing it on the remains of the previous one. The new candle will slowly burn out over the next few nights.

This intervention has already been carried out in several cities around the world, it was even done in 2013 in the Vatican Square, next to the Colón Theater. further, can be seen on the screens of the subway entrances: both entrances of the Carlos Pellegrini station, North Obelisk Gallery and South Obelisk Gallery.
