From this Wednesday until 28 of March, a total of 27 venues will host a new edition of the Buenos Aires International Film Festival (BAFICI), that will present the most innovative and avant-garde of the world Seventh Art.

After an unprecedented year, marked by social distance and isolation, BAFICI will once again meet the public that made it an indispensable tool for the incentive and reactivation of the sector.

In that context, during 11 days, adults and children can enjoy free, safely and following the corresponding health protocols, of 92 feature films, 143 short films, activities and special workshops that bring together the most innovative and avant-garde of Argentine and world cinema.

Each of the 27 venues includes authorized and unconventional rooms, in addition to outdoor spaces, distributed in the different communes of the City, so that all residents can enjoy its varied cultural proposal.

Opening projections

The opening will take place from 19 hours with two screenings that demonstrate the diversity of the cultural proposal and the federal spirit of this edition of the Festival.

In the first place, you will be able to appreciate the short film "Social Number Theory" found footage by Paola Michaels that combines film with digital, together with the feature film "Bandido", fiction by the Cordovan director Luciano Juncos in which Osvaldo Laport plays a popular music singer who, passing middle age, enter a crisis.

The functions will be at the Multiplex Belgrano and the Parque Centenario, respectively. On the other hand, the opening of BAFICITO will be by the hand of "The universe of Clarita" by Tomás Lipgot, a documentary that with skies and songs portrays the life of a teenage girl from 13 years in Rosario (to 19 in the garden of the Enrique Larreta Museum).
