The Bahian celebrates 35 years of experience and new album on Broadway
This Friday 10 of June the Bahian will be celebrating 35 years together with music and the release of his new album, "A lot of experience", with which he travels great classics of his entire career.
In that context, the renowned singer spoke exclusively with The sidewalk and expressed that he meets "with the typical anxieties of a presentation", since it is "a concert that is going to be recorded and filmed and has its previous complexities".
What did it mean for you to review these great songs?
They are songs that at some point were going to be recorded by me again, but not immediately. They were always part of my concerts on the solo stage too, that has almost 18 years. They were always present and the time to re-record them was this.
What does it mean to play again in such an important place after so much time isolated by the pandemic??
All scenarios are important, after 2 years of restrictions the joy is even greater when one considers a show of these characteristics.
"A lot of experience" is an album, also, which has great guests who brought a different color to the songs. This was something premeditated by the singer since he invited many other artists of different styles. "The eight guests who are on the album are the first to give the ok to participate", assures Bahiano, who added that he was looking for "voices that are empathic with mine and that will add to the song".
Were you able to indulge in any arrangements or ideas that you had on the original recordings that you couldn't use later??
And, the version with Toledo in “Su Galán” and Paulinho Mosca in “Tarde gris”. The first because at that moment I wanted to do it with a more Caribbean voice that he would share with me and the second because I always imagined that song in Portuguese.
As explained by the vocalist, the guest list was thought in advance and according to the need of the songs.
Is there a song that you liked more than the original after listening to the new result?
It's an album that I really like a lot in general. The original will remain original.
Did you feel like adding a song?? Is there a possibility that in this situation there will be a second album later??
Quite a few songs left out, the Broadway theater show is going to be recorded and they are going to be almost 30 songs, an album or two is going to come out that night.
It should be noted that there are still few tickets available for sale. They can be obtained at the ticket offices of the venue located on Corrientes Avenue. 1155 or through the HausTicket system.
