With an important award of 200 A thousand pesos, the Buenos Aires Film Commission launched its call to ‘mentor’ and support audiovisual projects.

In addition to the important award, each of the chosen proposals will receive the advice of industry professionals, for better development within the audiovisual industry.

It should be noted that the support from professionals for selected proposals will last four months, plus the economic stimulus and the possibility of presenting the project in future business rounds. After the opening of the call, the Minister of Culture of the City Enrique Avogadro highlighted the accompaniment to the audiovisual sector of the City, giving you "more tools that drive the development of the industry". Avogadro added that “through BA Audiovisual we encourage the circulation and exhibition of national films through screenings and support for festivals., as well as training for professionals in the field. In this case, through the Buenos Aires Film Commission we focus on the internationalization of the city's audiovisual industry ".

“The Buenos Aires Film Commission works to position Buenos Aires as an audiovisual city, with professional talent, unique locations and stories to tell the world. Incubator BAFC is aimed at producers, scriptwriters and directors with at least two credits of verifiable previous experience and who have a series idea to develop. The selected projects may have professional advice for four months. With the help of an industry leader who will act as a guide, they will be able to put together a folder with all the project information and then present it in an international business round organized by the BAFC.. The mentors belong to the most outstanding audiovisual production companies in the country and the City with experience in the international market: Haddock (“The Secret in Their Eyes”, “Thursday's widows”, “Carmel” Netflix, “The night of 12 years” Netflix); Kapow (“Stockholm” Netflix, "The president" Amazon and "The pack" Amazon); K&S (“Wild tales”, “Odyssey giles” Y “The kingdom” Netflix, “The two Popes” Netflix / local production, “Focus” local production); Pampa Films (“A Chinese story”, “The inventor of games”, “Black snow”, “Monsoon” Telefé/ Netflix); and Zeppelin Studio (“Rooster days” HBO Max, “Nahir” Y “Pepita the holster” in development for Warner Media / HBO Max).

The proposals that are developed must be located and have the City of Buenos Aires as a relevant space within history. At the same time, Extra points will be added to those who have a female quota within the production-script-direction team.

Paula Hernández: Director and scriptwriter. “The Sleepwalkers” world premiere at TIFF, Platform Competition, selected for the San Sebastián Film Festival and chosen as Argentine representative to compete for the Oscars.

Incubator BAFC is the only call of this type in the City of Buenos Aires, since it accompanies and promotes the project from its initial idea, that is to say, projects do not need to be scripted at this stage; values ​​the participation of women in decision-making positions; and the jury is made up of referents from the cultural and cinematographic field.
