The Argentine Center of Textile Art exhibits intervened chinstraps

Online, the Argentine Center of Textile Art (CAAT) presented an exhibition that brings together various artists from the continent, as well as from Europe and Asia and who presented a series of operated chinstraps.

This virtual space, which aims to function as a meeting place between artists, textile artisans and designers, proposes with this sample to reflect life as a consequence of the current problem.

In total there are more than 260 the creations presented in the virtual catalog and which in turn represent a tribute to all health workers in the world.

The exhibition is the consequence of a call that was born in May, in full pandemic. As a reply, CAAT received more than 300 works by artists from Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, The Savior, Mexico, USA, Canada, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Netherlands, UK, China and Japan.

As explained in the entity's statement, there are “sophisticated” chinstraps, fun, utilitarian, colorful, made with various materials such as paper, metal, natural threads and leaves ".

The Center also explained that “the artists have shown, in the middle of the pandemic, a true display of creativity ".
