With the screening of "The case you" and the meeting "Filmmakers in dialogue", the online film series “Haus Kino” will close its successful season that began in June.

The movie "The case you", a documentary made by Alison Kuhn in 2020 can be seen from this Tuesday 23 until Friday 26 of November, through the plataforma Goethe OnDemand.

While, Saturday 27 -from 16- the meeting between Anne Zohra Berrached will take place, Alison Kuhn and Lucia Sapena, within the framework of the activity "Filmmakers in dialogue", also organized by the Goethe Institut Buenos Aires.

"The case you" is a production that is part of the theme "Breaks" and can be seen with free access.

Regarding its theme, five young actresses reveal, They represent and reflect on the episodes of sexual abuse that they experienced a few years ago and that took place systematically in the audition for the same role together with hundreds of other actresses. The director herself, newcomer Alison Kuhn, I was also among them.

Years later, when the accused director decided to use material from the casting tests for his film project, various actresses decided to take the case to court. Today it is the subject of a legal battle that has not yet reached the general public. But that this documentary, far from any type of conventionalism and assumed judgments, exposes from a cathartic procedure, with the first-person testimonies of the actresses themselves, meeting for the first time since the events occurred.

Together with Anne Zohra Berrached (director of "24 weeks", first film shown in November), Kuhn will participate on Saturday 27 in the live chat Filmmakers in dialogue. The event will be moderated by Lucía Sapena. The dialogue will be by Zoom, with simultaneous translation, and prior registration is required.
