The Female Cycle, that seeks to make visible and support the work of women in creative roles in the performing arts field, celebrates its third edition of 4 al 20 December at the Area Theater 623.

With a diverse program that covers works in different stages of production, This proposal reaffirms its commitment to female talent and innovation in the performing arts.

The program includes the premiere of “A Ray of Glass on a Wall”, selected by open call, two reruns, an international work and a work in progress. further, A free and virtual stage direction class taught by Maruja Bustamante will be offered, intended for the community throughout the country.

“Essay for a farewell”, work that will begin the cycle

Among the works is “Essay for a farewell”, a one-man theater-dance show that opens the cycle on Wednesday 4 to 21 hours, and “Cecilia and the Lizard”, a proposal that combines romance, humor and magic, Thursday 12 to 20 hours. From Uruguay, “Chica Almodóvar” arrives on Saturday 14 to 21 hours, while Wednesday 18 to 20 hours will be the turn of “Sempiterna”, a piece in progress inspired by Violeta Parra. Finally, Thursday 19 and Friday 20 to 21 hours the long-awaited premiere of “A Ray of Glass on a Wall” is presented.

Tickets have a value of $11.000, with discounts for students and retirees, and can be purchased through Alternativa Teatral or at the ticket offices of the venue located on Pasco 623. Maruja Bustamante's training activity will be on Tuesday 10 to 19 hours, with free registration.
