The Gaumont cinema reopened after 13 months of absence

After more than a year of absence due to first spare parts and the subsequent COVID-19 pandemic, the Gaumont cinema reopened to the public.

The renovations were applied to the three rooms of the emblematic Buenos Aires building; jobs that meant having "the best cinemas in the country", as highlighted by Luis Puenzo, holder of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA).

It should be noted that the Gaumont is also the INCAA Km Space. 0, becoming one of the most important rooms for the diffusion of national cinema.

The reforms were also given in the names of the rooms, who were renamed Leonardo Favio (the main one with 600 seats) and those on the first floor now with the names of María Luisa Bemberg (253 seating) and Fernando Birri (300 locations).

In the other two rooms (Birri y Bemberg, that respectively admit to 90 Y 76 people) The national premieres of the day have already been shown: the Spanish-Argentine co-production "Akelarre", by Pablo Agüero –who has just won five Goya Awards-, and the Argentine-Paraguayan co-production "Charlotte", by Simón Franco.

Spectators attending the Rivadavia Avenue venue 1635 they will find new seats and greater comfort; with 150 new acoustic panels and renovation of other facilities such as ticket offices, bathrooms and also air conditioners.
