This Saturday the Usina del Arte will screen the documentary outdoors “Carnival alive” within the framework of the BAFICI festival.

This is a documentary made by Florencia Lazarte that during the pandemic recorded a total of 12 historical songs of the murga "The lovers of La Boca", that can be seen from 15.30.

With its realization, the director tried to record the two realities of the carnival: one with its usual coloring and the other adapting to a strange time, as is the pandemic in the face of the advance of COVID-19.

According to Lazarte, "The murga meets 30 years and it was decided to make a production at La Usina del Arte to screen it in this unusual February ". At the same time, The presentation to the neighborhood of this material was also filmed, thus leaving a record. Meanwhile, Facundo Carman, director of "Lovers of La Boca" emphasized that the documentary "which reflects a bit what we did in a pandemic". Added that, “Although it begins with a common and current Carnival with the murga in the street, it is clearly seen how we murgueros lived this last year so different”.
