The Buenos Aires Theater Complex continues with the initiative "Illustrated Theaters", a proposal that aims to artistically intervene the doors of the CTBA theaters.

After the first intervention by María Luque, Thursday 13 May "Illustrated Theaters" will continue with the presentation of Mariana Ruiz Johnson, inspired by the Teatro Regio, until the 15 July on the facade of the San Martín Theater (Avenida Corrientes 1530).

"Illustrated Theaters" is an initiative of the Visual Arts Program of the CTBA that proposes to intervene, through the work of illustrators, the doors and windows of the enclosures.

In these pandemic times, activity in the complex's halls was suspended, in search of hybrids and varied ways of being lived. So they experimented with the possibilities offered by technology to continue communicating with viewers. While public activities crept into homes, in the theater it happened the other way around: the public space became intimate, a place that not everyone could access.

For a few months, it was possible to return to face-to-face functions. But at this moment the theaters are again waiting for the health situation to improve to resume them.
