The Theater Complex of Buenos Aires (CTBA) He continues with the virtual staging of some of the most important works that have passed through his tables and this time presents "The Goldberg Variations".

Starring the unforgettable Alfredo Alcón and Fabián Vena, The show can be enjoyed from the first Saturday of August - from 20- through the “Culture at Home” platform and through the official website of the CTBA.

"The Goldberg Variations" is a work of George Tabori - the same author as Mein Kampf, farce - directed by Roberto Villanueva who remained on stage throughout the season 2003 in the Martín Coronado room and which is part of the historical archive of the San Martín Theater.

The show has a cast that is completed by María Ibarreta, Marita Ballesteros, Gabo Correa, Lautaro Delgado, Veronica Piaggio, Martín Chiara, Sergio Grimblat, Maximilian Moldavsky, Santiago Pedrero, Juan Pablo Rinaldi, Javier Van De Couter, Franco Gabriel Verdoia and Nicolás Abeles.

The story of this play revolves around a theater director who must put on a show whose script is the Bible. In this context and helped by Goldberg -his Jewish assistant-, the protagonist will have to represent nothing less than the Creation itself, from light and darkness to the crucifixion of Christ.

It is a huge metaphor that helps the playwright George Tabori to reflect on how poorly the world is, so you have to recreate it and for that there is no better tool than theater.
