The Theater Complex of Buenos Aires (CTBA) It will have a new room that will be inaugurated this Saturday in the middle of the street and will offer an ambitious program to its public.

It is about the Cine Teatro El Plata, the recovered room in the Mataderos neighborhood located on Avenida Juan Bautista Alberdi 5765.

Finally and after the intense recovery work carried out for its enhancement, this room with more than 500 towns between stalls and pulman and that also has two micro-cinemas, will offer from this month a program with theater shows, dance, music and puppets among many other activities.

The inauguration will begin at 16, with a grand opening party on a stage with a giant screen, mounted on the front of the theater, where theater shows will be presented, music and puppets, and with the participation of the residents of the neighborhood.

Simultaneously, in various positions installed on the street, a series of activities will be developed for the whole family that will include games and workshops.

For closing, the groups When you see you will see, UOW and El Choque Urbano will offer an impressive light show, music and stunts with high visual impact.

True cultural emblem of the Mataderos neighborhood, El Plata was inaugurated in 1945 and since then it was the pride of the neighbors. Known as "the Great Rex of Slaughterhouses", of defined art deco style, the room had the particularity of simultaneously premiering the films with the cinemas in the center of the Federal Capital. In 1987 closed its doors and for a time it was used as a warehouse.

Years later, more precisely in 2004, an active participation of the neighbors began to recover the room, which was completely remodeled by the City Government, preserving its heritage value.
