Under the 123 anniversary of the birth of the writer Jorge Luis Borges, the Cultural Center that bears his name prepared a series of activities that will last until this Saturday.
From today (that for the birth of Borges the Day of the Reader is commemorated) the traditional Buenos Aires venue will begin programming under the name "Week of the Reader and Reading", with concerts, academic sessions, Borgean theater for the whole family and exhibitions.

It is a series of photographs and texts belonging to the collection of María Kodama.
Atlas was the penultimate book by Jorge Luis Borges, published in 1984 with the photographic collaboration of María Kodama. paradoxically, the book contains photographs that the author never saw. His contribution to that "unity made of images and words" is literary.
Friday 26
CONCERT: BORGES x 3
At 20 h, by the Oblique Company
With free admission with prior reservation at https://linktr.ee/reservas.ccborges
The three central works of this concert —written by Nazareno Nigretti, Maximiliano Zelaya Cardoso and José Luis Garabito— were composed from the reading of three famous stories by Jorge Luis Borges: "The Secret Miracle", “The Garden of Forking Paths” and “The Circular Ruins”. Each of them dialogues tangentially with Borges's text., without attempting the description (impossible, on the other hand) of situations or characters, but rather playing with the form of each one of the stories and with their expressive atmosphere. Two works by great masters complete the program: Marta Lambertini and Julio Viera. Both are based on poems by the great Argentine writer.

Imaginary Beings by Borges is a fun journey through The Book of Imaginary Beings, written by Jorge Luis Borges in collaboration with Margarita Guerrero. In this comedy they will meet a selection of those fantastic beings and divinities that have surprised the human species since ancient times, a delicate compilation of the strange living forms that fantasy has spawned throughout time and space. All those who are prepared to enjoy the changing shapes revealed by a kaleidoscope are invited to have fun with this musical comedy full of tenderness and humor.. We hope they are from the game.
