Under the name "The awakening of insects", the Gachi Prieto gallery presents its new exhibition that brings together the works of the artist Lula Mari.

With the curatorship by Renata Cervetto, "The awakening of the insects" will also be the artist's first solo show in the traditional venue located above Uriarte. 1373. It should be noted that it can be enjoyed with free admission from Tuesday to Friday from 14.30 a 19.

In this presentation, the artist will exhibit a series of oil paintings that were made in the last two years. Seeing them together, these paintings say more than they represent. There is a force that lives at the bottom of rivers and swamps that inevitably summons the viewer. Lula Mari develops her craft as a painter not only from a deep management and knowledge of the technique, but also constantly feeding what the painting mobilizes in it: a sustained and reciprocal dialogue that materializes when the image is found.

Lula Mari is a graduate of the National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredón. He studied drawing and painting with Alejandro Boim and attended Diana Aisemberg's work and contemporary thought clinics..

In 2019 was part of the exhibition "A history of imagination in Argentina" (Museum of Contemporary Art of Buenos Aires) where he made a series of Painting Recitals.
