Seen by almost two million people on Broadway and with a film version headlined by Tom Cruise, the successful musical Rock of Ages will arrive at the Maipo Theater from 5 of September.

With performances every Tuesday, to 21, the show will recreate the North American city of Los Angeles in 1987, at the height of hard rock, with bands like Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and Mötley Crüe as absolute leaders.

Within this framework, Sherrie Christian (character played by Micaela Racana), will come to the city with the dream of becoming a famous singer. But nevertheless, at the Bourbon Room bar, the protagonist's luggage – which also included all her records- is stolen.

This situation was seen by bartender Drew Boley (Federico Coates) what, despite not being able to catch the thief, gets Sherrie the chance to perform on the spot as a waitress.

The history, with a book by Chris D'Arienzo and arrangements by Ethan Popp, is completed with falls, Matthias Mayer, Mariano Zito, Melania Lenoir, Lucia Mundstock, Mark Rauch and Hernan Kuttel.

The translation and adaptation of the show is done by Marcelo Kotliar, the choreographic direction is by Matías Napp, the vocal direction of Sebastián Mazzoni, musical direction by Mariano Cantarini, vestuario de Ale Robotti, lighting design by Gaspar Potocnik, and general direction of Pablo Drutman.

This musical premiered in 2006 in Los Angeles, later it went to Las Vegas and then came to Off-Broadway, before his triumphant arrival 2009- a Broadway. Until 2015 had more than 2300 representations.

The success of this show was transformed into a world tour that included London, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Korea and Japan.
