The seventh edition of the International Film Festival of the Heights was officially presented, as well as its complete program and the rest of the activities.

These announcements were given through a meeting that had the participation of the Governor of the province of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales and the members of the Executive Committee of the Autarchic Entity of the Las Alturas International Film Festival: the Secretary of Planning, Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy Luciano Córdoba and the Artistic Director of the International Film Festival of the Heights, Daniel Desaloms.

The Governor recalled the beginnings of the event and highlighted its growth: “This festival is an initiative that began with the Municipality and that we later work together, from the Provincial Government with the Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy. That today is the third Festival in Argentina gives an account of all the effort that has been made ". Then added: “This Festival is naturally Andean and we are proud of that.. Are 80 productions that are going to be, that the people of Jujuy and all those who participate will be able to enjoy virtually, reflect a great cultural content, of a great identity imprint with the Andean world "Concluded Gerardo Morales.

The International Film Festival of the Heights will have a mixed modality where the spectators from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela will be able to enjoy online activities: films in competition, parallel sections and trainings. Meanwhile, who are in Jujuy, may participate in face-to-face activities: Film screenings in movie theater competitions and live music shows, complying with current protocols. It should be noted that all the activities that take place within the framework of the Festival are free. About, Artistic Director Daniel Desaloms commented: "The Festival will also have its workshops, as we always do, dictated by top-notch personalities in the industry, highly qualified personalities. This edition will have an imprint where documentary cinema will be highlighted. It means that all training workshops will deal with this topic. This is of course, also free, via streaming and anyone can access this training. "

The schedule will have a total of 80 films (between feature films and short films), organized between the official competitions and the different parallel sections: Tribute to Pino Solanas, Height Features, Environmental Cinema, Animation film, NOA glances, UNT Archive (National University of Tucumán).
