Recently, the Filbita Festival announced through its networks the date of its new edition, which will take place between 9 and the 12 of November, with the presence of great guests.

On the other hand, the traditional meeting dedicated to promoting and promoting reading in the youngest sector, It will have two headquarters that will be the Cultural Center of Science and the French Alliance of Buenos Aires.

Likewise, between the large number of guests and the proposals that will be revealed in the coming days, A literary contest aimed at children was announced that will accompany the festival.

“My favorite story hunter” is the name of the aforementioned contest, intended for boys between 7 Y 12 years. It will have the categories “Squirrels” (of 7 Y 8 years), “Foxes” (9 Y 10) and “Deer” (11 Y 12).

The stories are sent through the Cazacuentos page and the jury is made up of Nicolás Schuff, Violeta Canggianelli and Fernanda Argüello. The closing of the call is 15 of September.

Illustrator of the edition

This year, Illustrator Paz Tamburrini will be the special guest and will be in charge of creating an ecosystem of characters and colors for the festival. It is worth remembering that in previous editions Mariana Ruiz Johnson was part of the meeting, Christian Montenegro, Isol, Yael Frankel, Eleonora Arroyo and Maria Elina Mendez.

Paz is a professor at the University and in the Fine Arts Faculty and his illustrations have been included in the 10 Iberoamerican Catalog illustrates, Guadalajara (Mexico) and selected at the CICLA Original Illustrators Exhibition – Chen Bochui International award, in addition to being part of the collection of the Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Art Museum in China.

One of his most recent and challenging projects was his work on the scenographic and visual proposal for the tribute to Charly Garcia at CCK together with Adriana Maestri and Gabriel Dinzelbacher.
