Of the 11 al 20 September will take place the International Film Festival of the Heights that this year will have its online edition. This decision was made taking into account the world situation and with the intention of giving continuity to cultural policies, adapting to the current context..

The Festival will have the three usual official competitions: International Fiction Feature Films Competition, International Documentary Feature Competition (integrated by films from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela), and the NOA Region Short Film Competition (composed of short films from Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Catamarca and La Rioja).

The Artistic Directors of the Festival, Daniel Desaloms and Marcelo Pont, They were the ones who made the selection of films that will participate in this edition and expressed their great satisfaction at the level of audiovisual productions that were presented in the call., both nationally and internationally. Below we detail the twelve fiction feature films, twelve documentary feature films and ten NOA short films that will form part of the 6th. Festival Edition:

The prize for the winners of each international competition was increased to $200.000 Argentine pesos and $90.000 Argentine pesos for the best short film from NOA. further, In the International Fiction Feature Film Competition, the Andes Statuette will be awarded to the Best Director, Best screenplay, Best Photography, Best Male Lead Acting, Best Leading Female Acting, Jury Special Mention and Public Award.

Meanwhile, in the International Documentary and Short Film Competition NOA, the Andes Statuette will be awarded to the Special Mention of the Jury and the Audience Award.

The contest will have a 10-day online format and will have its own platform that will allow viewers from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela to enjoy the best Andean cinema at home, providing in turn, the possibility of reaching new regional audiences.

The Festival's films will be accessible from a computer, tablet or mobile phone, free of charge with the creation of a user on the Festival website www.cinedelasalturas.com.ar, This subscription will enable the display of 34 films in competition. The short films will be available throughout the Festival, while the feature films will be screened by 24 hs. in a program that will include three daily feature films. In addition to the projections, as in previous editions, training sessions and talks will be held with important personalities from the film industry, this time the academic activities will also be carried out online.

The main objective of the Autonomous Entity of the Alturas International Film Festival is to set up a festival that includes the best cultural and cinematographic expressions of this part of the continent., calling the brother countries that make up the Andean bloc and the provinces of the Argentine Northwest, with whom due to ethnic identity and geographical proximity, history is shared, customs and ways of seeing and interpreting the world.
