The Las Alturas International Film Festival announced that registrations for its seventh edition will be extended for one more week, until the 31 of May.

In that context, Those interested may register their productions within the four official competitions at cinedelasalturas.com.ar where they will also find the regulations.

Fiction or documentary films from the Andean countries will be received in international feature film competitions: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Meanwhile, in the NOA Shorts competition, You can register short films from Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Catamarca and La Rioja. In this edition the national competition Work in Progress of the Heights was incorporated, intended for films in the process of being made, both fiction and documentary, from Argentina or national co-productions.

Once the deadline is closed, will be selected 12 fiction feature films, 12 documentary feature films, 12 short films and 6 films in development for the different competitions forming the Official Selection for the seventh edition. The selected films must meet the artistic merits necessary to form a program that is sufficiently representative of the best that is produced in each territory.. Originality will be evaluated, the expressive proposal, narrative efficacy, as well as technical aspects of the work.

The winners of each competition will receive the Andes Statuette and a prize of 300 thousand pesos in international competitions, 140 thousand pesos for the winner of the NOA Shorts competition and 100 thousand pesos for the best film in development.
