Newly way, the traditional International Film Festival of the Heights announced the films that will be part of the parallel sections of its eighth edition.

In total there will be over 120 the productions that can be enjoyed between the 2 and the 9 of September, in this new edition that will take place in person at different points in Jujuy and online for the entire country.

The film that will open the festival will be "The Andean Screen", film shot in the north of Jujuy and that is in charge of showing the journey of the Mobile Cinema to bring cinema to one of the most isolated schools in the province.

"The Andean Screen" is directed by the Catalan Carmina Balaguer, who in turn will be in the presentation accompanied by the students of the Yaquispampa school, as well as by the director of the establishment at the national premiere of the documentary that has just been awarded the Best Mountain Film Award at the 13th Cerdanya International Film Festival in Catalonia.

On the other hand and within the framework of the productions that are Out of Competition, the "Exhibition of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Argentina" returns, in which Argentine films stand out that will have the presence in Jujuy of recognized personalities such as Luciano Cáceres, Diego Lerman, Andrea Frigerio and Celeste Cid.

As already anticipated in the first instance, The Festival will have the International Fiction and Documentary Feature Film Competition in addition to the NOA Short Film Competition and the National Work in Progress Competition.
