Rock in Rio festival expands and will be based in Chile
The megafestival Rock in Rio is the most important musical event in Latin America since its birth -in 1985-, reaching beyond borders and bringing all this paraphernalia to other cities like Madrid, Lisbon and Las Vegas.

The news was confirmed by Roberto Medina, the mind behind this festival, who said the idea is that Santiago offers a new square, immediately after the completion of editing Rio (in October).
Medina spoke with Chilean media and when asked about the election, He said "Santiago is a quiet town, comfortable and has a stable economy, good food and the festival could bring a lot to the tourism ".
