The MAFI Focus makes its debut in the digital edition of FIDBA 2020
Between 24 and the 30 of September, the Buenos Aires International Documentary Film Festival (FIDBA) will present the MAFI Focus, a new segment that can be enjoyed in the online edition of the meeting.
MAFI (Film Map of a Country) is a non-profit organization dedicated to documentary registration with the aim of contributing to the audiovisual memory of the country and promoting social reflection based on images. MAFI develops projects in the digital area, cinematic, training and research. His main projects are: the platform www.mafi.tv, the documentary feature film Propaganda and the MAFI School training workshops.
The MAFI gaze is characterized by capturing documentary fragments that invite you to stop and look, claiming the expressive value of the image as a way of thinking about reality. To do this, MAFI works with a network of national filmmakers who contribute their views in the construction of this film map of the country.
In its 8th edition FIDBA -Buenos Aires International Documentary Festival- has decided to include in its programming a series of films belonging to the MAFI GROUP. "God", "Propaganda" and "October", three projects that -with the collective as a flag- present from different angles the convulsed socio-political situation that exists in Chile today.
