“El Futuro” won at the Bariloche Audiovisual Festival
The Bariloche Audiovisual Festival (FAB) concluded a new edition and “El Futuro” – documentary made by Ulises Rosell- was distinguished as the best production.
“El Futuro” is a documentary that reflects the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in different parts of the country and was consecrated within the framework of the eleventh edition of this festival, which became one of the most prominent in the south of the country.

During the awards ceremony, Silvia Alvarado, Secretary of Cultural Development of Río Negro, stressed the importance of “having a festival that promotes and enriches audiovisual production, “strengthens the relationship between filmmakers and the public and contributes to the progress of the industry”.
Erected as an emblem for Patagonia, This festival welcomed lovers of the Seventh Art, who enjoy spaces that open to new audiences, providing the opportunity to hundreds of children, girls and adolescents encountering the magic of cinema for the first time.
References from the audiovisual industry offered free workshops that had a great impact on the general public, as well as students of arts majors in the region.
For six days, films were screened as part of the Carlos Sorín Retrospective, which culminated in an open talk with the renowned director., who spoke about the challenges of the audiovisual industry in the face of new technology.
