The Gaumont will screen "Nine Queens" for free for National Film Day

In the framework of National Cinema Day, the Gaumont Complex will screen the film “Nine Queens” on Monday 23 of May from 19.30 and free entry.

Thus, the successful film starring Ricardo Darín and Gastón Pauls in the year 2000 will be seen again in the Buenos Aires room due to the great demand of the public.

It should be remembered that Fabián Bielinsky's film had also been screened on 16 May in the framework of the Diverse Functions cycle organized by the Coordination of Diversity and Gender together with the INCAA Cinematheque.

"Nine Queens" was the first feature film of the remembered Bielinsky, which is also considered a classic of national cinematography. Together with Darín and Pauls, Leticia Brédice also appears, Tomas Fonzi, Oscar Núñez, Alejandro Awada, Elsa Berenguer and Roly Serrano.

National Cinema Day is celebrated in homage to the first Argentine film, “The May Revolution”, Directed by Mario Gallo, premiered at the Ateneo theater in Buenos Aires, the 23 May 1909.
