INCAA increased the average cost of domestic films
The National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) published in the Official Gazette an increase in the Average Cost of films to 25 millions of pesos, retroactive to 1 last August.
On the other hand, The entity announced that the Fund for Filming Advances will increase by 80 millions of pesos, so it becomes 280. This represents an increase in 40%.
Among other actions to continue supporting the Industry, They are also updated in a 24% Prize amounts for all Contests 2018: of Feature Films (debut works/short films/script developments); and the Second Stage of the TV Awards 2018.
According to Ralph Haiek, President of the INCAA, “These actions seek to bring relief to the Industry and are in line with the Institute's policy, what, al 31 last August, already executed the 56% of your budget”.
It should be added that in 2018, INCAA executed the 54% of your budget, the highest percentage in the last eight years to comply with the investment of the 50% in promotion required by the Film Law.
