Tristan Bauer, Minister of Culture of the Nation, assured that the cultural activity will continue "as we have been doing so far", beyond the new restrictions.

After the announcement by President Alberto Fernández about the new restrictions established by the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) 235/2021 to reduce escalation in coronavirus cases, Bauer expressed himself and assured that "we will continue to comply with strict protocols, respecting capacity, ventilation measures, controls on the entry and exit of the public. We will continue like this, with constant monitoring, to see how the situation evolves ".

The official emphasized that "we are in permanent dialogue with the cultural industries sector; from the first stage in which we had to close all activities and, then, during the elaboration of the protocols, together with the Ministry of Health and Labor, to open up and ensure a careful return of activities ".

Likewise, the minister urged people to “continue taking care of ourselves and go to the theater, to whom, to museums that are spaces where all protocols are being applied. Today, the absolute priority continues to be health and that is why we are occupying all our effort ".

Consulted on the situation of the gauges, the head of the National Culture portfolio stated that they will continue with "the economic support that we have been developing since last year to assist the cultural industries sector because we know that they are still necessary".

In that context, detailed that the Ministry he presides has "a program of 1.600 millions of pesos, who will attend more than 50 thousand artists, workers of culture, and for which we made an alliance with ANSES to execute it more quickly. Similarly, now we have launched Repro II together with the Ministry of Labor ".

Finally, Bauer indicated that at this time of the year “we thought we could focus more strongly on production and work, But we believe that it is still necessary to continue with these economic assistance because culture continues to be one of the areas most affected by the pandemic. Fortunately, we have a present State attending to the needs that are emerging ".
