The José Hernández Popular Art Museum celebrates the Day of Tradition
As part of the celebrations for the Day of Tradition, the José Hernández Popular Art Museum will carry out a series of activities to enjoy for free.
Among the proposals are readings, guided tours and music and dance shows to celebrate the 150 years of the publication of “El gaucho Martín Fierro”, emblematic work of José Hernández.
First and from 16, María Clara Elhert -educator of the institution- together with María Paula Elkin – part of the MAP documentation- will offer a guided tour of the Martín Fierro in the museum.
Later it will be the turn of the presentation of "The luck of the gaucho. Evils that everyone knows but nobody told " (17.30 hours), the music and dance show carried out by artists belonging to the Julio Bocca Foundation.
Finally, to 20 hours a virtual talk will be held through the official YouTube channel of the venue, with the presence of Matías Casas and Pablo Martínez Gramuglia, who will talk about the readings of the Martín Fierro.
It is worth noting that the Museum will continue with the activities within the month of tradition. Within this framework, on Wednesday 23 will take place - from 18 hours- the donation of 7 volumes of the Complete Works on the work of José Hernández – Celina Ortale, by the Faculty of Humanities of the National University of La Plata (IdIHCS-FAHCE).
This delivery will be made to the director of the museum, congratulations moon. The same day, from 19, the renowned plastic artist Eduardo Stupía will talk with Juan Albin about "The illustrations of Martín Fierro", under the coordination of the licensed Adriana Amante.
through this dialogue, the artist will propose to examine the look on the thought and illustration of the work of Hernández. Some rare and little-known editions of this poem will be exhibited in the same library.
