The Museum of Fine Arts Entre Rios will honor the work of Gloria Montoya

Since Friday 26 of April, and free admission, the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts Dr. Pedro and. Martinez will open a tribute exhibition dedicated to the artist Gloria Montoya.

With this exhibition dedicated to the artist native of Parana, also, the exhibition will open its season 2019. The exhibition will be curated by Armando Adriana and Guillermo Fantoni and remain open until 8 of June.

Both curators claim that "by the vastness of his work and the transformations proposed, by the intensity of his activity as creator and the fact that he led the gathering of artists in the famous Group 633, the figure of Gloria Montoya is one of the most important art of Entre Rios and therefore Argentine art of the twentieth century ".

All the pieces that will be shown correspond to the personal collection of Maria Gloria Daneri, Montoya daughter, tireless promoter of the preservation and dissemination of their work. In addition to the series of paintings, the exhibition will present documents, manuscripts, photographs and personal belongings of the artist.

At the same time, the research process by Armando and Fantoni be reflected in the publication of a book bearing the same name of the exhibition, which articulates the visual production manuscripts and documentary pieces of Montoya in an essay that accompanies a large selection of works from this period. The valuable editorial work will be presented by their authors at the Museum Auditorium next 21 May as part of the sample.
