This Saturday 17 February the Museum of Contemporary Art of La Boca (MARCO) together with the Tres Pinos Foundation, will present the exhibition “Entrance” by the Venezuelan artist Dixon Calvetti (1980-2023).

The exhibition will begin at 15 hours under the curatorship of Juan Carlos Urrutia and with free admission.

According to the curator of the exhibition, “It is the first realization of an exhibition project in development by the artist, intended to be located on the first floor” of the facility located on Almirante Brown Avenue 1031. This exhibition can be seen until 09 of March.

“Entrance” establishes a line of meanings around the artistic-intellectual panorama and the main ethical and aesthetic concerns of the artist., based on a selection of recent productions, ritual objects, conceptual maps, unpublished projects and Reenactment (recreations) of some of his most anchored works around trans-territoriality, popular religiosity and the marialioncero syncretism of Venezuela.

The exhibition calls for a relational exploration of the term ENTRANCE from a double dimension, where the concept of “entrance” states transit as a form of physical-symbolic displacement, and the idea of “trance” refers to a state of heightened spiritual perception and consciousness..
