Newly way, the Museum of Modern Art revealed three of the inaugurations that will arrive at the traditional Buenos Aires venue during the month of August. They are "mad toys", “Current Dance” and “Hummingbird Culture”.

The three will open the 26 of that month; “Rabious Toys” will be curated by Patricio Orellana and will be inspired by an event that occurred in 1963 that changed Argentine art.

At that time, the prominent artist Marta Minujín summoned figures from the Parisian scene to close her stay in that French city, in order to intervene in the works carried out in the aforementioned European capital.

Later, in a cathartic and initiatory event, Minujín set fire to those interventions.

Inspired by the game and the destruction, This exhibition took as its name the first novel by Roberto Arlt (1926) and exhibits pieces that display a wide range of gestures of violence towards the object, its limits and its materiality; paintings and sculptures of informalism and destructive art, composed of waste and violated materials; works that deconstruct the processes of signification with a focus on the materiality of language; works about the most radical dematerialization of the artistic object; and even works on the disfigurement of the human body.

The artists represented are Noemí Di Benedetto, Leon Ferrari, Alberto Greek, Alberto Heredia, Marta Minujín, Dalila Puzzovio and Luis Wells, among others.

This exhibition will remain open until 31 from December.

Due, the public will be able to appreciate the “expansion of its limits through the interdisciplinary search and the feminine liberation, in accordance with the emancipation of the bodies that occurred in those years”, as detailed from the Museum.

This exhibition will focus on the Danza Actual group (created in 1962), which, due to its innovative and experimental profile, occupies a central place in the exhibition.

Finally, "Cultura Colibrí" is the show that has Fernando Noy as its host artist., curated by Jimena Ferreiro and which reviews the artistic and cultural production of the country, between the years '80 and '90.

Within this context, it will appear among others, the name of Batato Berea in the Buenos Aires underground scene and the cultural fantasies that the country had after the dictatorship period will also be evoked.
