The Quinquela Museum inaugurates its exhibition dedicated to Miguel Diomede
The Benito Quinquela Martín Museum announced the arrival of its new exhibition, dedicated to Miguel Diomede, one of the great exponents of painting in the golden age of La Boca.
"Dematerialize painting" is the name of the exhibition that will take place from the 22 of July and that can be enjoyed until 22 October in the traditional Buenos Aires venue.
The appointment will be at 13 hours, under the curatorship of Yamila Valeiras and with free admission.
during the exhibition, the public will be able to appreciate a series of works from 15 private and public collections. Among the achievements will appear landscapes, still lifes and portraits.
As detailed by Valeiras, it's been more than 10 years, The Museum assumed as a commitment "the realization of anthological exhibitions dedicated to the greatest figures of Boquense painting that vitalized the culture of Buenos Aires from the periphery of the neighborhood during the first half of the 20th century".
with that intention, this long-term project "means for the institution to return to the present an updated image of what those workers represented, harboring the idea that they can act as an orientation guide for those who are starting out on the path of art today”.
