This is over a hundred black and white shots, that were made in his photographic trip through the provinces of Chaco, Formosa and Salta, belonging to the Matteo Goretti collection.

“This photographic essay on the aboriginal peoples of our territory, is a compendium that reflects technique, culture and an anthropological look that makes it unique and original in its kind”, reported the Museum.

Grete Stern (1904- 1998) was a German-Argentine designer and photographer. His journey was aimed at "documenting for four months the life and crafts of some of the aboriginal groups" that he had met a few years earlier., after a series of workshops he gave in Resistencia.

The lived experience led Stern to schedule a new trip in 1964, where the gaze was broadened to also intercept the way of life of these peoples.

Curated by the specialist Luis Príamo, The sample can be visited at the Museo de Avenida del Libertador 2373, Tuesday through Friday 13 a 19 and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a 20.
