The Ibermúsicas Program opened its annual call
The Ministry of Culture of the Nation, through the Secretariat of Cultural Management and the National Institute of Music, representing Argentina in the Ibermúsicas Program, presents the annual call for the program with its three lines of aid for 2020.
Musical activity is among the sectors most affected by the context generated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Considering the difficulty of facing international actions in the short term, Ibermúsicas reorganized its efforts to continue providing tools that promote the work of musics, musicians and professionals of the Latin American musical activity. In this frame, its annual call was opened with the following lines of aid:
Aid for the mobility of musicians and musicians
Call aimed at supporting the mobility and circulation of artists within the Ibero-American region to participate in festivals, markets, forums, fairs, concerts, island, etc. between 1 June and 31 from December to 2021. Solo musicians and musicians can participate, assembles, groups, bands, choirs or any other type of formation of any musical style. Support will be provided for the purchase of air and ground tickets for a maximum amount of 7.500 USD (seven thousand five hundred dollars).
Aid to festivals, markets and meetings for the mobility of musicians and musicians
Call for festivals, encounters, markets, forums, public or private fairs or concert halls, that promote the circulation and knowledge of Ibero-American music of all genres among the 1 June and 31 from December to 2021. Support will be provided for the purchase of tickets for the invited musical artists, for a maximum amount of 7.500 USD (seven thousand five hundred dollars).
Aid to the music sector in virtual mode
Within the framework of the extreme complexity that the contingency of the pandemic has caused for the community in general and for the music sector in particular, and considering the difficulty of programming international actions in the short term in the face of the current changing reality, Ibermúsicas reorients its objectives in order to continue providing tools to strengthen the sector. From this new virtual modality, not only the historical calls of the Program are integrated, but also the grants for composition residencies, for training processes, but also invites you to design and create innovative forms of cooperation in research, approach, experimentation and development of Ibero-American music.
