Newly way, The Mendoza government announced the official protocol that productions must follow to film in the province before the advance of COVID-19.

It is available on the site www.cultura.mendoza.gov.ar and allows the establishment of a continuity and recovery plan for audiovisual activity, in the province, ensuring the protection of workers in the sector.

The Province of Mendoza has innumerable locations and natural settings, due to its great geographic diversity, that added to its strong cultural identity, make it a more than attractive destination to which filmmakers and producers turn to tell new stories.

Along these years, various local productions, national and international projects developed audiovisual film projects, advertising and television in various locations in Mendoza. Generating income by hiring local technicians, hotel services, gastronomy and mobility among others, energizing the economy, around audiovisual activity.

Convinced of the constant work that has been developed in the field of audiovisual policy for the positioning of the province as a filming destination, it was necessary to establish an action protocol to reactivate the filming, in the provincial territory, protecting the safety of workers in the audiovisual sector and all other areas involved.

In the protocol that can be downloaded from the Culture of Mendoza website, aimed at workers in the audiovisual sector and related companies, the prevention and protection guidelines to be carried out in the various stages of the audiovisual production chain are defined (preproduction, filming and post-production), whatever its format or genre.

This document focuses on the labor and health regulations to be developed in various departments / work areas of an audiovisual production team.

It is important to mention that, understanding the complexity and dynamics of audiovisual activity and its direct relationship with the environment, this protocol will have a constant review, so that its execution is the most useful and effective for the audiovisual sector.
