The Astor Piazzolla Quintet begins its tour of Europe
The Astor Piazzolla Quintet will begin its tour of European soil this Thursday, which will include a presentation in Germany, another in Switzerland and eight in Italy.
Directed by Julián Vat and dependent on the Astor Piazzolla Foundation, the set is made up of Pablo Mainetti (bandoneón), Nicolas Guerschberg (piano), Serdar Geldymuradov (fiddle), Armando de La Vega (guitar) and Daniel Falasca (double bass).
Regarding the first concert, It will be within the framework of the Rheingaun Festival in Geisenheim. Later on Friday it will be the turn of the Basel Jazz Festival, Switzerland.
From Saturday the recitals will begin in Italy, starting at the Horszowski Auditorium in Monforte, on Tuesday he will be in Civitanova Marche and on Thursday he will take part in the Ravenna Festival.
Then the Astor Piazzolla Quintet will have presence in the festivals of Tuscany (the 16), the one from Otranto (the 17), and the Umbria Jazz of Perugia (the 18), el Ravello Festival (the 22) and the Armonie d’Arte of Calabria (the 23).
In these European stages, the Quintet will review repertoire embodied in their albums “Revolutionary”, “Fugate”, “In 3 × 4” Y “Triumphal” and new material like his version of “El Penúltimo”, work that Piazzolla composed for the film “The last Tango in Paris” and executed with his nonet.
