The Sonic Quintet pays tribute to Piazzolla and Rovira from Poland
The Sonic Quintet will be presented this Saturday from Poland - with online transmission for the whole world- and will pay tribute to two great artists such as Astor Piazzolla and Eduardo Rovira.
Created in Brussels in 2015 by Argentine double bass player Ariel Eberstein, the concert will be the starting point for the presentation of the repertoire of his next third album “Piazolla-Rovira: The Edge of Tango”.
It should be noted that, in order to carry out this show, the set will expand its original line-up to octet and from 16 (Argentina hour) it can be heard from the POLIN Museum website (www.polin.pl/en) or from the Facebook page of the space that will host the festival (www.facebook.com/polinmuseum).
To its original formation (American Stephen Meyer on violin, French Lysandre Donoso on bandoneon, the Argentines Camilo Córdoba on guitar and Ariel Eberstein on double bass and the Belgian Ivo De Greef on piano), Three other instrumentalists will be added for the concert that will put into dialogue the Octeto Buenos Aires that Piazzolla created in 1955 with which Rovira proposed a year later with the Octeto La Plata.
