The return of Genesis added a series of concerts in the United States
After the announcement of the reunion of the legendary progressive rock band last year, now Genesis confirmed the realization of a series of concerts by the United States.
In this way, the group formed by Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford will return to the stages of the aforementioned North American country where they have not performed for a while 14 years.
La serie denominada “The Last Domino? Tour”, will start at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, the 15 November and consists of other 13 dates around Washington DC, Charlotte, Montreal, Toronto, Buffalo, Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Massachusetts, reported the Ansa news agency
The group led by Collins will also play two shows in the New York area.: visit the mythical Madison Square Garden in Manhattan on 5 December and five days later at the new UBS Arena in Belmont Park.
For the tour, the trio will be accompanied by their former guitarist and bassist Daryl Stuermer and by Nic Collins on drums.
Created in 1967 por Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Peter Gabriel y Anthony Phillips, the band had several drummer changes, until finally the place went to Phil Collins. After Gabriel's departure in 1975 and Hackett in 1977, the group was reduced to a quartet, and later to a threesome, with Collins as singer and drummer, Rutherford as guitarist and bassist and Banks as keyboardist.
From the decade of 1980, Genesis' music would see a fundamental change in style, from progressive rock to pop-rock, coinciding with the time of greatest commercial success and with Collins as its most visible leader.
