Blur vocalist, Damon Albarn, announced that the release of “The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows” –his second solo album- will be published on 12 of November.

In addition to the departure date, it was also detailed that the new plate will be available on digital platforms, CD, cassette and vinyl.

Through an official statement, the artist who also provides the voice for Gorillaz stated that this new proposal made him “on my own dark journey while making this album” and that “it led me to believe that there could still be a source of purity”.

On the other hand, collectors will have the opportunity to purchase a deluxe edition of the album, which will take the form of a bound book, with additional photographs, Original scanned lyrics and artwork by Albarn, plus a clear vinyl version of the album, a high quality digital file and a voucher of 7” with an exclusive song from the recording sessions.

Likewise, this Friday you can see on BBC iPlayer "Live at Worthy Farm", a concert that will have some of these new songs and that will serve as a preview of the BBC Two documentary, that will premiere on sunday 27 June and that will show behind the scenes of the aforementioned show.
