The site of the Teatro Colón will offer on Sunday “Andrea Chenier”
The opera "Andrea Chénier", de Umberto Giordano y with libreto by Luigi Illica, will be broadcast by the Teatro Colón networks, with musical direction by Christian Badea.
In the concert, that can be seen this Sunday from 20, Badea will be in charge of the Orchestra and the Stable Choir of the Theater and stage direction of Matías Cambiasso.
The show consists of a verista drama with a historical setting in four acts loosely based on the life of the French poet André Chénier (1762-1794), executed during the French Revolution, that premiered on 28 March 1896 at La Scala in Milan.
It will be free of charge for the website http://www.teatrocolon.org.ar/en-vivo and social networks (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram y Twitch) together with Opera Latin America (ÓLA) and the Colón Federal theaters network.
The main interpreters of "Andrea Chénier" are José Cura, Fabian Veloz, Maria Pía Piscitelli, Guadalupe Barrientos, Hernan Iturralde, Emiliano Bulacio, Sergio Spina, Cecilia Aguirre Paz and Alejandra Malvino, with musical direction by Christina Badea and stage direction by Matías Cambiasso, with the Stable Choir, directed by Miguel Martínez.
