The TDC will hold its 45 years with an exhibition in the Hall Alfredo Alcón
As part of the 45 years of its formation, the Contemporary Dance Workshop (TDC) will carry out a free sample in the Alfredo Alcón Hall of the San Martín Theater.
The festivities will take place on Friday. 4 And the saturday 5 November from the 16 hours in the enclosure located on Corrientes Avenue 1530, where the public will have the opportunity to appreciate the qualities of this training and improvement space.
Within this context, the students and dancers will invite those present to learn about the creative process and the classes that they went through during 2022. The Dance Workshop focuses on exploration, experimentation and composition, offering a show that brings together small pieces created from different techniques, styles and stories.
Currently directed by Norma Binaghi and co-directed by Damián Malvacio, the Contemporary Dance Workshop of the San Martín Theater was founded in 1977, simultaneously with the creation of the Contemporary Ballet of the institution, and since then it develops its activity in an uninterrupted way.
His first goal was to set up a research workspace, training and artistic improvement. Over time, the goals of the Dance Workshop were expanded: a three-year cycle of free training was established, that stands out for its academic excellence, promoting young dancers in the development of their technical level, in his physical strength, in his creative world and in his artistic motivation. Nowadays, graduates are called to integrate the professional environment of dance, at the national or international level, as interpreters, directors, choreographers, teachers and creators.
