The Cervantes National Theater (TNC) announced to his new authorities, that were received by Tristán Bauer, Minister of Culture of the Nation.

The chosen ones have been Gladis Contreras, who will serve as director, and Jorge Dubatti, the new deputy director. Both will assume their positions during the next days, replacing Rubén D’Audia –who will occupy functions in Educ.ar.

"The election of these new authorities is based on two interests. On the one hand, that she is a woman because I believe enormously in her management skills and, second, because we believe that it is necessary to continue deepening federalism in culture. In this way, the name of Gladis Contreras came up, with great experience in the management of culture ", noted Minister Bauer.

On the other hand, the official detailed: “I have a deep admiration for Jorge Dubatti for years for all his knowledge and experience in relation to the national theater. In this new stage we are interested in these rooms presenting the best of the national theater, in its diversity, raising the quality of the proposals and also that this theater acquires the federalism it deserves. Let the works travel and be strengthened. I am sure that the new authorities will know how to carry these principles in their management. Count on me for whatever you need because I deeply love this Theater ".

Gladis Contreras was born in the province of Santa Fe and has been an independent theater manager and producer for more than thirty years. She is a Visual Arts teacher and has outstanding experience in both the public and private spheres, leading a large number of theater projects.. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Theater Institute in 2008 Y 2009. She has also been a programmer and producer of cultural spaces for the Ministry of Innovation and Culture of the Province since 2011. She has made more than ten international tours as a producer in Latin America, Europe and Asia, and received several distinctions. Since 2015 is in front of the direction of the Cultural Center of the Province of Santa Fe.

Jorge Dubatti was born in the city of Buenos Aires. It's critic, historian and university professor specialized in theater and arts. Doctor (History and Theory of the Arts Area) by the University of Buenos Aires. He is a regular professor of History of the Universal Theater (Arts career, UBA) and director by public competition of the Institute of Arts of the Spectacle Dr.. Raúl H. Castagnino from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UBA. He is also the coordinator of the Art Sciences Research Area (AICA) at the Floreal Gorini Cultural Cooperation Center. He founded and directs since 2001 the School of Spectators of Buenos Aires, which has 340 students.

He is the general director of the Theater Spectators Classroom of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (ONE). Has contributed to open 44 spectator schools in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, France, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela. Participated in the ESNA Project - Spectator School of New Aquitaine (France) for the creation of the first digital spectator school. Founded and co-directs (with Juano Villafañe) the Poetry Readers Classroom. He has published a huge number of books, articles and reviews related to universal and Argentine theater (essays, editions, conversations, study compilations, etc.) in the country and abroad. He is responsible for editing the Eduardo Pavlovsky Theater, Mauricio Cartoons, Ricardo Bartis, Rafael Spregelburd, Daniel Veronese, Alejandro Urdapilleta and Alberto Vacarezza, among others. In 2007 Y 2017 received the Konex Journalism-Communication Prize in the categories Literary Criticism and Criticism of Theater Shows- Dance-Cinema. He is president of the Argentine Association of Theater and Performing Arts Spectators (AGE, time course 2019-2021). He has a great career in different media and currently leads the program El tiempo y el teatro on National Radio AM870.
