Under the direction of Marilú Marini and for only eight unique performances, the work “Failed Writer” –written by Roberto Arlt- will return to the Teatro Picadero.

Diego Velázquez for his part stars in this work, whose work earned him recognition with a María Guerrero Award in the category of Best Unipersonal Performance in 2022.

Performances will start on 2 of August, with presentations that will go every Wednesday in the traditional Buenos Aires venue, with tickets on sale at the ticket offices of the theater located on Pasaje Enrique Santos Discépolo 1857 or by PlateaNet.

"Failed Writer" was written in 1933 and has a plot that revolves around a protagonist who celebrates his first and only great success, but then can not write again.

Under that concept, the writer will plunge into a labyrinth of emotions where resentment, the envy, and a stark sincerity, will guide the viewer into the miseries that creation hides.

This work also marked the debut in the direction of Marilú Marini, who presents a universe full of humor and power. The text also appears as the first solo show by Diego Velázquez.
