This Thursday, from 10, the list of nominees for the new edition of the Gardel Awards will be announced, the most important award that Argentine music has.

CAPIF, entity that organizes the traditional meeting, anticipated that this year the announcement of nominees will be federal and digital, since the categories and their finalists will be presented from different parts of the country through the social networks of the Gardel Awards.

The award will be broadcast - for the second consecutive year- on the screen of TNT and Radio Nacional AM870.

The cities of Mendoza, Córdoba, Salta, Rosario, Buenos Aires and the southernmost point of the Republic (Argentina Antarctica) will be the places from which different journalists will present the Nominees 2020. This year, and as an exceptional measure, each item will have 8 nominees (except Song of the Year and New artist that will feature 10 finalists in each case).

What's new for this edition

This year the traditional meeting will be subject to some modifications. Then The sidewalk shows a list with all the news

*Awards are no longer divided by female / male gender.

*More than 3.000 applications, absolute record in recent 4 years.

*Are set 8 nominated by category, with the aim that more artists can have visibility through the Prize.

*The category "Best Live Album" was added.

In Buenos Aires city, the nominees will be announced by Bebe Contepomi and Gabriela Radice; in Argentina Antarctica the managers are Eliana Baraldo, Julia Morena, Yanina Galeano and Tamara Milan. For its part, Córdoba will have the representation of Germán Arrascaeta, Mendoza that of Walter Gazzo, Jump to Oscar Humacata and Rosario to Analía Bocassi.
