Mendoza soloists and groups, consecrated and on the rise, prepare to continue with the online edition of the classic MendoRock festival.

This Friday the meeting that brings together various styles will continue with the presentation of Desastrónomos and Spaghetti Western, whose performances can be enjoyed through the platform www.mendozaencasa.com.

The festival reached its edition number 16 and for this opportunity was prepared as the longest in history, in addition to having free and open access.

As for the bands that will follow the cycle this Friday, they are two very different groupings.

Desastrónomos is made up of Fabián Castellani, in bass and chorus; Darius Castellani, guitar; Gaston Cirvini, drums; Cecilia Salinas, voice and Álvaro Alaniz, on guitar and proposes alternative rock, progressive and indie.

From the experience of musicalizing the theatrical work Prometeos and with a common musical background (The Fissure, Nightgowns), Fabián Castellani, Ariel Pedra and Darío Castellani create Desastrónomos, in the middle of 2008. With an instrumental proposal close to rock, have created a particular musical space in Mendoza. In various presentations, have had the presence of the poet and puppeteer Osjar Navarro, shaping mix shows.

In 2010, they composed the original music for the play "El Experimento". You'll walk the marked line. In 2012, Los Andes newspaper (Mendoza) choose them among the highlights of the year, in the categories "Combinations of the year" (for the recital given with Futre) and "Emerging sounds".

In december 2013, Gastón Cirvini is invited to present the album Lágrima de pez. Since then, is a permanent member of the band. In november 2015, Cecilia Salinas participates as a guest in the closing recital of the exhibition "Sucios Acoples", by the plastic artist Leo Pedra. Since then, Cecilia is the lead singer of the band. In august 2017, Ariel Pedra leaves the band and Álvaro Alaniz enters in his place, on guitar.

Desastrónomos has performed recitals in screenings, painting and photography samples, in different departments of Mendoza, as Guaymallén, City, Godoy Cruz, Maipú and San Rafael.

Spaghetti Western, meanwhile, it's a band from Mendoza, characterized by mixing genres such as Soul, Jazz, Funk, Rock with Hip-Hop overtones and some Latin elements. The group began to take its first steps in the under Mendoza in the year 2010, with a totally different imprint, that was mutating with the incorporation of new members and the musical maturation that also arises from the experimentation of sound.

At 2015 female voices are added that began to define the style of the band and, at 2017, They record their first self-titled album which obtained a very good reception from the public and they present it in one of the most important stages of the province: Cinema Theater Plaza, before 1000 people.

Many other events are added to this show, like participation in prime time, at the Godoy Cruz Beer Festival, in 2017, also a single Symphonic Show by which the ‘Western Orchestra’ is created (a reduced symphonic directed by the pianist Juan Olguín) with 14 musicians on stage at the emblematic Teatro Independencia.

In your tour you can count trips Buenos Aires, playing at Niceto Club and Lucille; make up the grid of the Luján Suena provincial festival, next to 20 emerging bands (What Pibitos, Ca7riel, Minor leagues, Chita, Indians, Chinese Bandals, Gauchito Club, Past Green, The Skandalosa Crew, among others); a second Plaza Theater, with a multidisciplinary conceptual show, with several guest artists and, in october 2019, share the stage with the Climax Militants, among other events.

At present, the band is in the process of producing their second studio album, which goes through various genres and new sound experimentations, with which it is expected to break geographical barriers and reach new horizons.

The longest MendoRock in history

The 28 August will be Vicki Zuin's turn, Igualitos and Parió la Choca. Already in september, the 4, verona will arrive, Alfajores from the Pampa Seca and Trama. The 5 of September, from the emblematic stage of the Gabriela Mistral Theater, next to the Municipality of the City of Mendoza, Chapeca will be presented; Indira and Felipe Staiti Trio.
